Australian Doctors Orchestra (ADO)
Featuring soloist Michael Dahlenburg, Conductor, Warwick Stengards and the Bendigo Youth Choir
The Australian Doctors Orchestra (ADO) is a unique national fellowship of over 600 medical professionals who are also classically trained musicians. Since their first concert in 1993, the orchestra has played a concert every year and in every state, using each occasion to raise funds for charity.
The orchestra donates its services to a different medical charity each year, and on Sunday 23rd April 2017 they will be performing at Ulumbarra Theatre on behalf of The OTIS Foundation.
Over 80 medical professionals from all around Australia will donate their time and energy rehearsing for two days culminating in a performance on the Sunday afternoon.
The Bendigo concert will be performed under the baton of maestro Warwick Stengards and will feature various members of the orchestra and the esteemed cellist Michael Dahlenburg performing in the Dvorak Cello Concerto.
Proceeds of the Bendigo concert will be given to The OTIS Foundation.
