The wild, seductive power of this classic story will have audience members of all ages “Hooked” as Girton Grammar School throws the famous J.M Barrie play in a new menacing light.
From the opening scenes set in the bustling post-work hour of London in 1901 to the jungles of Never Land featuring industrial rudiments from another time, this year’s Girton Grammar Senior School production promises to surprise and delight in equal measure.
A thirty-piece orchestra will support this all singing, all dancing, theatrical production, with plenty of surprises along the way, including the ‘boy who would not grow up’ appearing in a form you might not assume.
Wendy and her siblings travel to the Neverland, a wild and dangerous place, where they live with the Lost Kids Gang and encounter the murderous and ruthless Captain Hook – as you’ve never seen before.
Time chases after our heroes in the form of the ticking crocodile, whose special stage appearance is sure to both shock and delight.
Both adults and children will enjoy this show; however, some scenes may frighten very young children.
Running time is 120 minutes with an interval.
