Robert Jensen

The End of Patriarchy

Patriarchy doesn’t work, says American professor and author, Robert Jensen. What is needed, right now, is a radical rethink about male dominance to bring an end to violence and coercion.

In his powerful little book, The End of Patriarchy, he sets out to tell men how to become radical feminists – not just for the sake of women but for all of society.

The End of Patriarchy has been hailed as a “book of hope”, “much-needed” and “life-changing”. In Bendigo following his appearance at Sydney Writers Festival, he will talk about the “pathology of white supremacy” and why we need feminists – of all genders – to create decent and stable human communities.

Jensen is professor of journalism at the University of Texas, where he teaches media law, ethics and politics. Passionate and lucid, Jensen’s uncompromising call for a new way of thinking will inspire and challenge you.
